Everest Three Passes Trek in Nepal is considered the most challenging walking route in Nepal. It is situated in the Khumbu region of Nepal. Trekkers will get the chance to be at the top of the Everest Region’s high passes. Renjo-la Pass, Chola Pass, and Kongma La Pass are three iconic high passes of Khumbu. Along with these high passes, trekkers will also get the chance to reach the legendary Everest Base Camp and Kalapathar top. It is completely for adventure lovers and endurance freaks.

The journey of the Everest Three High Passes Trek in Nepal is similar to Everest Base Camp Trek. Trekkers will follow the same itinerary as is in EBC Trek until they reach the Dingboche village. Please check out our Everest Base Camp Trek package for more information regarding the early phase of trekking.

Trekkers will then gear up for the ascent of the first pass out of three passes. Everest Three High Passes Trek will test your endurance in the first pass as well. Kongma La Pass which lies between Lobuche Valley and Chhukung Valley is very narrow and tricky. Trekkers must heed the instructions of the trekking guide for safe passage. Check out the narrow trails and rocks. At some time of the year, the trail might be covered by snow. Therefore, meticulous walking is highly necessary.

From the top of Kongma La, the sight of the mountains looks dazzling. Amadablam, Island Peak, Lhotse, Pumori, etc. look spectacular. On the other side of the pass lies the stunning Lobuche. Trekkers will then walk through the moraine towards Everest Base Camp via Gorakshep. Follow the same itinerary again as of EBC Trek until trekkers return to Lobuche and take the right turn towards Dzongla. The second pass on this trail is Chola Pass. This is a very popular trekking pass in comparison to Renjo La and Kongma La because it is featured in Khumbu Circuit Trek or Gokyo Chola Pass Trek in Nepal. From the top of this pass, one can enjoy the panoramic view of mountains as far as Mt Cho Oyu. Snow-covered trails and icy lakes are the major features of this junction of trekking in the Khumbu region of Nepal.

The most joyous phase during Everest Three High Passes Trek in Nepal is during a stay at Gokyo Valley. After crossing the Chola Pass Trekkers reach the small hamlet on the shores of Gokyo Lake. The stunning scenery as seen from the top of Gokyo Ri will be memorable. The sight of Mt. Everest, Cho Oyu, and Makalu including numerous other smaller peaks will make this junction of Everest Three High Passes Trek the mountainous wilderness experience.

Trekkers will finally cross the Renjo La Pass and enter the different valleys of Khumbu. Most of the trekking trails lie in the Tengboche – Dingboche circuit. However, this trekking takes you to the beautiful Sherpa villages. You will get the chance to meet the Everest climbers and numerous tales of Sherpa's bravery in the village of Thame and its surroundings. Once trekkers reach the Namche Bazaar the trail again follows the same itinerary as Everest Base Camp trekking. Book the Everest Three High Passes Trek in Nepal for the wilderness mountainous experience. You will have to prepare your body to get adjusted to high altitudes. It is not for the fainthearted rather it is for pure adventure lovers.
