About Shivapuri day hike

Shivapuri Hill is the second highest hill around the Kathmandu valley at an altitude of 2563m. It is most popular for bird watchers and pilgrimage people, through the hiking eagle-eye view of Kathmandu valley, panoramic views of Langtang Himalayan range, and greenery of flora and fauna this Shivapuri national park make sense to visit. It is a natural paradise to spend a day hiking refreshments crowded city of Kathmandu Valley. 

Your hiking in Shivapuri national park begins in the morning after breakfast at your won hotel, we drive for around 30 minutes through the Hindu pilgrimage temple Budhanilkantha. After getting the permit to enter the national park before you’re hiking. During the hiking to Shivapuri through the Nagi Ghumba north of Kathmandu, this is a famous monastery for Nun's practices in Buddhism and foreigners visiting for mediation. You will see the origin of the holy Bagmati River, which is an untouched source supposed to come from the mouth of the Tiger.

The Shivapuri national park is the government that protects an area, exploring over 177 species of birds, 19 species of mammals, and 150 species of butterflies. Hikes go up through the oak, and rhododendron forest with chirping birds makes your hiking more fantastic. Top of the Shivapuri Hill at the elevation of 2563m is the best viewpoint of the panoramic Langtang, Dorje Lakpa, and the Gaurishanker Himalayan range. The hikes return we take a shortcut downhill to Pani Muhan to begin to start your hike.
