About Great Himalaya Trail 30 day (7th Step)
This is the 7th shift in the Great Himalayan Trail in the midwestern Dolpa and Mugu region of Nepal. This region is predominantly known for its natural beauty and Holy Mt Christal is famous in this area. Since the region is poorly developed, no proper means of infrastructure can be experienced in this region. Nonetheless, it offers great mountain scenery, natural beauty, and unspoiled culture and tradition. This trekking is really off the beaten trail with Rara lake being the biggest lake in Nepal.
The journey cruises through Shey Phoksundo National Park which is the largest national park in Nepal in terms of area. Also, it is the only national park that is surrounded by Trans Himalayas. The National Park offers the wilderness feeling one can have when trekking through the verdant woods. Moreover, the national park is also popular for sheltering endangered animals like snow leopards, Himalayan black bears grey wolves, musk deer, and many more. If you are lucky enough, you might get to encounter one of them on your journey. This park has some of the notable towns where at least some types of developmental infrastructure can be experienced are Jufal, Dunai Rigmo village, and Bhijer village with many more in this area.
The 7th Shift Great Himalayan Trail is quite a long journey. For 30 days it could be named Upper Dolpa Trekking, you will be travelling to remote villages placed in the midwestern development region of Nepal. The people of the region are pure just like their untouched natural beauty. Their beliefs and faith lie towards their god and the nature that bestowed the natural heaviness upon them. Even though the journey is 30 days, every day is worth being in this region. So give yourself the chance for Himalayan Ecological Trekking in this extremely adventurous journey that will forever be in your memory.
